The Spinder Track, a movable gate for group division in dairy barns, has been awarded an Innovation Award at Eurotier, the world's largest trade fair for the livestock industry, organized by DLG. This award is presented to products that make a significant contribution to innovation and improvement within the agricultural sector.
The Spinder Track has been developed as a movable separation gate, designed to easily and flexibly adjust group layouts in dairy barns. The size of cow groups in dairy barns is constantly changing. With the Spinder Track, adjustments to the available space per group can be quickly made by one person, without any substantial effort. This provides enhanced cow comfort and better space utilization.
“We are proud that the Spinder Track has won this award,” says Jehannes Bottema, CEO of Spinder. “The Track was developed in response to market needs and demands, and it’s fantastic to see this being recognized with such an important award. Spinder is continuously dedicated to developing solutions that contribute to cow welfare and efficiency for dairy farmers.”
The Innovation Award from Eurotier is presented by DLG (Deutsche Landwirtschafts-Gesellschaft). An independent jury of experts evaluates aspects such as efficiency, animal welfare, labor efficiency, and practical applicability. The Spinder Track was recognized for its practical design and user-friendliness, offering a group layout solution that can be easily operated by one person.
About the Spinder Track
The Spinder Track provides farmers with a unique solution for quickly and easily adjusting the group layout in the barn. Thanks to its roller system, the Track moves effortlessly along the rails. This allows the space to be adjusted according to the herd's size, ensuring more comfort for the cows while simplifying the farmer's work.
With a convenient locking system, the gate stays in the desired position, and the sliding section allows both the farmer and the cows to pass through easily. The Spinder Track is easy to install and can be used in both new constructions and renovations of existing barns.
